Marjorie Blakeman Jakes Lakeland- Marjorie Blakeman Jakes Beloved wife of William E. Jakes and mother of Alison Jakes Argersinger (Thomas), William B. Jakes, Rev. Jeffrey P. Jakes (Katherine) was called to heaven by her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on December 2, 2017. Born in Camden, New York on November 22, Marjorie lived in several Upstate New York cities. She became a resident of Florida in 1990. She was devoted mother, instructing her children to trust Jesus and admonition of the Lord. She was the faithful wife and partner for 63 years to her husband, William E. Jakes. She was an inspirational speaker for Christian Women’s Connection of Stonecroft Ministries for 35 years. She is survived by her loving husband, three children and 16 grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, December 9, 2017 at Orangewood Church PCA, 1300 W. Maitland Blvd, Maitland, FL 32751. Inurnment location to be determined. In lieu of flowers, her memory may be honored with gifts to Orangewood Church PCA, 1300 W. Maitland Blvd, Maitland, FL 32751.
