Margaret Ellen (Willis) Huston Margaret Huston entered a new life on March 6, 2016. She was 102 years old. The youngest of three daughters, Margaret was born to Frank A. Willis and Octavia Holcomb Willis on December 11, 1913, in Newnan, GA. She moved with her family at a young age to Jacksonville, FL. After graduating from high school, she attended Florida State College for Women (now FSU), where she earned a B.S degree. While teaching school in Jacksonville, she met and married Martin Jay Huston in 1939. In 1954, they moved to Lakeland, where Margaret taught math at Lakeland High School. She was a 62-year member of College Heights United Methodist Church, where she sang in the choir for more than 50 years. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 1988; her son, Dale Martin Huston, in 1968; and sisters, Ethel Mae Starbuck and Mary Frances Martin. She is survived by her daughter, Anne H. Whalen; granddaughter, Kelly L. Langello; great-grandchildren, Dale Hart, Leanne Hart, Samantha Hart, Austin Smith, and Nicholas Langello; niece, Ellen Starbuck; and nephew, Frank Starbuck. Margaret enjoyed spending time at her cottage in Bat Cave, N.C. She was a wonderful Mother and friend. She loved music and laughter, and had a joyful outlook on life. A celebration of life service will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, March 11, 2016, at College Heights United Methodist Church, 942 South Boulevard, Lakeland, FL 33803.
