Margaret L. ""Peggy"" Doddridge, 90, Homemaker Lakeland- Mrs. Margaret Louise ""Peggy"" Doddridge, 90, of Lakeland passed away of natural causes on Friday, she was the only child of Cecil and Adrian Woodall. She has been a resident of The Estates at Carpenters for the past twenty years and a member of First United Methodist Church. Peggy was a graduate of Florida Southern College where she was active in the Vagabonds. She taught elementary and pre-school for many years. Her greatest joy was entertaining and spending time with family and friends. She was an avid bridge player, enjoyed traveling and reading. Peggy will be remembered for her great wit, creativity and sense of drama in life. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Benjamin W. Doddridge, and a grandson, Jimmy Heidrich. She is survived by her four daughters: Elaine Heidrich (Jim) of Cincinnati, Ohio, Linda Clements (John) of Mishawaka, Indiana, Mary Ellen Schron (Jack) of Chagrin Falls, Ohio and Beverly Hollis (Clayton) of Lakeland. Peggy leaves 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. A private family celebration of Life service will be held in the Danforth Chapel at Florida Southern College. The family would like to thank the kind caretakers in the Manor at Carpenters who cared for Peggy in her final years.
