Marcia Wilkinson Watts, 84 IRS Lakeland " Marcia Wilkinson Watts passed away due to respiratory failure at Bartow Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, March 7, 2012. She was born on June 2, 1927, in Gadsden, Alabama but was raised in Eufaula, Alabama. She attended the University of Alabama, but left to become a flight attendant for Pan Am Airlines in Miami. It was there she met her late husband, James Watts. They moved to Cincinnati, Ohio, from Miami with their daughter, Deena and their second daughter, Kenna, was born in Cincinnati. There, Marcia worked for the Internal Revenue Service as a collection agent. When her husband retired to Florida, she transferred and continued to work for the IRS in Lakeland, Fort Pierce, and Tallahassee. Marcia was active in the Girl Scouts of America and was an active volunteer with many other organizations. She served as a Guardian ad Litum in Tallahassee. Marcia was also a world traveler, with Russia and China being among her favorite adventures. For the last seven years, Marcia was a resident of Hawthorne Inn in Lakeland. She was a member of St. John Neumann Catholic Church. Marcia is survived by her sisters, Diane W. Smith (Howell) of Wetumpka, Alabama, and Rita Isaza of Hialeah, Florida, her daughters, Deena Watts of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Kenna Homes (Alan) of Lakeland, grandchildren, Laura Watts, John Holmes, and Maggie Holmes O""Connor (Daniel), and two great-grandchildren, Grace and Lily O""Connor.
