Marcia P Tomkow

Marcia Lewis Pate Tomkow, Lakeland, Florida, was born in Jacksonville, FL on August 11th, 1931. She was Lucy and Bentham Pate's only child. She married Mike Tomkow. Together, they had three children: Michael, David, and Michelle. 

On December 5th, 1986, Marcia lost the love of her life. We see it as no coincidence that 38 years later, Grandmommy was reunited with him in Heaven on the same day. While our hearts are all broken because we won’t have her here to love on, we feel relieved that after 38 years without him, she’s reunited with her great love, Mike Tomkow.

Marcia was a proud mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her favorite memories with her family were spent on Anna Maria Island or around a card table. Those close to Marcia knew she loved bridge, a nice glass of Chardonnay, and her kitty, Pretty. 

Marcia is preceded in death by her parents, Lucy and Bentham Pate, her husband, Mike Tomkow, and her son-in-law, Michael Maskolunas. 

She is survived by her sons, Michael and David; her daughter Michelle; her daughters-in-law, Cathlee and Renee; her grandchildren, Michael, Ethan, Skylar, Hailey, Josie, David, Analee, and Marlee; and her great-grandchildren, Michael, McCoy, and Boone.

A visitation will be held Thursday, December 12, 2024, from 5:30-7:00 pm at Heath Funeral Chapel, 328 South Ingram Avenue, Lakeland, FL 33801.

A funeral service will be held Friday, December 13, 2024, from 10:00-11:00 am at All Saints Episcopal Church, 202 South Massachusetts Avenue, Lakeland, Florida 33801.

Interment to follow at Oak Hill Burial Park.
