Luis A. Dejesus

Lakeland " DeJesus, Luis A, age 72, of Lakeland, Florida passed away on Friday, February 13, 2015 due to kidney failure at his home surrounded by family and friends. Luis was born in Caguas, Puerto Rico to the late Cristobal DeJesus and Gloria Gonzalez. Luis was a resident of Bridgeport, CT for 55 years and then came to Lakeland, Florida in 1997. Luis was an avid New York Mets fan and enjoyed watching all their games on TV or in person. He also enjoyed playing pool, poker, and dominos with his special friends. He was more than just a husband, father, brother; he was a best friend and a hero. A man who fought through so much adversity and remained strong. He will always be remembered as a man who never knew how to give up. We miss you and love you daddy. Luis leaves to cherish his memory a wife of 56 years, Gloria DeJesus; two daughters, Linda Rodriguez and Elba DeJesus; two sons, Luis Angel DeJesus (Cristal) and Mark Rodriguez (Gisela). Along with three sisters, Gladys Alicea, Ana Ortiz and Evelyn Fernandez and one brother, Cristobal DeJesus (Lucy) all of Bridgeport, CT. A host of nephews and nieces and other relatives and friends.
