Louise Roberts Lakeland – Louise Roberts passed away Friday, May 12, 2017. She was born in Plant City, Florida on October 8, 1945 to the late Helen and Virgil Roberts. Louise is a graduate of Kathleen High School, she played softball for Lakeland Volunteers. Louise liked sports, camping, traveling, reading, fishing and cooking, especially grilling. Louise was skilled in carpentry, paint and body and ranching. From 1996 – 2002 she owned and operated a successful business which included supervising and training students and employees in body work and painting. She even painted an airplane. She did office work, payroll, billing and bookkeeping. She inspected citrus for the Department of Agriculture, she worked in shipping at Golf Volunteers. She was a friend to many people, she had a way of meeting people and making and keeping friends. She made herself available to those needing to talk or help with something. She had a terrific memory for details. She would tell stories of experiences and make it so interesting one would feel they missed out, not being there. She included humor in her daily life. She is preceded in death by her grandparents Albert and Mattie Lou Chestnut. She is survived by her sister, Carol Roberts Johnson. Graveside services will be held on Monday, May 15, 2017 at 1 pm at Oak Hill Burial Park, 4620 US Highway 98 South, Lakeland, FL 33812.
