Lou Elton Jenkins, 76, of Lakeland, passed away January 25, 2021, at Kindred Hospital in Tampa, Florida. He was born July 11, 1944, in Mulberry, FL. He retired from The Lakeland Center, now known as the RP Funding Center. He loved his family and friends and spending time with them. He enjoyed making new friends, driving, word searches and helping those who needed it. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Jenkins, his daughter, Frances Lamb, his son-in-law, Richard Lamb II, his son, Don Shetler, his granddaughter, Kitty Shetler, sister-in law, Janet Jenkins, brother-in-law, Charles Sharpe and many nieces and nephews. There will be a graveside service conducted at 11am Tuesday, February 2, 2021, at Serenity Gardens. Masks are required. There will also be a live stream of the service on Heath Funeral Chapel's website on his obituary page for those that cannot make it to the service.
