Lola Swygert

Lola Swygert passed away on September 29, 2015 at Lakeland Regional. She was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on November 26, 1929. She was the daughter of Arch and Grace Featherston. She graduated from Hendrix College and received master""s degrees from Emory and USF. She taught school for over 30 years and was a Sunday school teacher for even longer. Lola volunteered for Good Shepherd Hospice, United Methodist Women, and many other organizations. She is predeceased by her husband of 58 years, Reverend William Swygert. She is survived by her three children, Paul Swygert (May) of Babson Park, Martha Ellingsworth (Louis) of Orlando, and Mark Swygert of Tampa; a brother Jerald Featherston of Houston, Texas, and five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Services will be held at The Estates at Carpenters on October 3, 2015 at 2:00 pm and First United Methodist Church on October 10, 2015 at 11:00 am.
