LAKELAND – Mrs. Lois M. Thomas, 92, of Winter Haven, Florida, died October 14, 2018. She was born in Haines City, Florida, on April 13, 1926. Lois graduated from Lakeland High School and began her career the following week as a switchboard telephone operator Lois married Clinton C. Thomas in Lakeland and they had two children, Patricia and Clinton “Buddy” Thomas Jr. (deceased.) Following her retirement after 30 years of service with the telephone company, she began volunteering at Winter Haven Hospital, sharing a smile and a kind word with everyone she met. Lois also enjoyed arts and crafts, especially decoupage, bowling, line dancing, and shopping with friends. In addition to her kindness and compassion, she leaves behind her love and countless memories for her family to cherish. Family members include her daughter, Patricia Neal and her husband Paul; her grandchildren and their families, Tommy, his wife Katie, and their children Hunter and Aubrey; Johnny; Clint III and his children Madilyn and Ava; Austin and his son Grayson; Emma and her children Elijah and Elaina; and Sarah. Family and friends will gather at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 19, 2018, at the Inman Park Baptist Church, 1800 6th Street NW, Winter Haven, Florida 33881, to visit and share memories of Lois.
