Lenwood Morgan Hollister, 95 Lakeland: Lenwood Morgan Hollister, 95, passed away on January 24, 2014 due to heart failure. He was born on December 19, 1918 in Cypress, Florida (Jackson County) and was next to the youngest of 8 children. He joined the U.S. Navy in 1940 and served in the Atlantic & Pacific theatres during WWII. He served aboard the USS Quincy, USS Tuscaloosa, USS Bristol, and the USS Sangay before being discharged in 1946. After moving to Lakeland, he attended Florida Southern College graduating with a degree in agriculture. He was a citrus grower and cattle rancher. He was a member of Wesley Memorial Methodist Church. Mr. Hollister was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Marilyn, and his daughter Mary Lynn. He is survived by his sons; Stephen K. Hollister (his wife Karen), Lenwood M. Hollister, Jr.; two grandchildren, Kelly Jean Hollister-Marker (Chris Marker) and Kyle Allen Hollister. He has two great grandchildren, Wyatt & Kinley Marker. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday January 29, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. at Heath Funeral Chapel with a viewing one hour prior. Interment will follow the service at Oak Hill Burial Park.
