Lenia Jean Dennis

Lenia Jean Dennis was called home to our Lord on Sunday, July 18, 2021. Born February 23, 1941, to Lennie and Eula Mae Brooks, Lenia, to all who knew her, was a one-of-a-kind, unique, and caring individual who touched the lives of all who knew her. She married Gerald Justin Dennis in 1967 and raised three loving children. She was totally dedicated to her children in all aspects of their lives. She was a permanent role model to all her family and friends as she would always have a hug and a kiss every time, she saw them. Lenia devoted her entire life to her children, family and continues to influence their lives today. Lenia’s talents were many, she was an extremely accomplished seamstress, an excellent crafts maker, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and loved to entertain all her friends who she considered family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lennie and Eula Mae Brooks, and her sister, Barbara Brooks. She is survived by her children, Terri and her husband John, Tammi and her husband David, her son Russell, six grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. A private family funeral service will be held at Heath Funeral Chapel. A celebration of life for Lenia J. Dennis will be scheduled at a later date.
