Lawrence W. Rogerson

Lawrence W. Rogerson, 63 Accountant Lakeland: Mr. Lawrence W. ""Larry"" Rogerson went home to be with his Heavenly father on December 14, 2012 following a long and courageous battle with cancer, and other health problems. Larry was born in Mt. Holly, NJ on March 14, 1949. He was raised in Milford, CT, and graduated from St. John""s University, Jamaica, NY in 1971. In 1978, Larry married Maureen Avilio, who survives him. Larry was predeceased by his parents, John Edward Rogerson, Sr. and Mary Elizabeth (Walsh) Rogerson, and a sister, Mary Logsdon. In addition to his wife, Maureen, he is survived by his sons, Scott Alan Childs and Darrin James Childs; Daughters-in-Law, Ann Childs and Susan Childs; and grandchildren, Ryan, Hunter, Janae, and Caylyn, all of Lakeland. Other survivors include his brother, John Edward (Paula) Rogerson of Pompano Beach; sisters Jude (Richard) Spear of Zephyrhills, and Kathleen (Ted) Sullivan, of Naples, FL and Lyme, CT; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles. Mr. Rogerson was employed in the accounting profession for several entities in NY and FL, serving last with Christ The King Episcopal Church as Administrator and Treasurer.
