Lawrence Scott Brooks, Jr

Lawrence Scott Brooks, Jr. (aka ""Beep"") Born on March 26, 1947 Age: 68 Originally from Ohio, he moved to Lakeland, Florida in 1975. Passed away December 11th at home. Scott was an active member and retired from First United Methodist Church of Lakeland. In his spare time he enjoyed playing golf and spending time with his family. He is preceded in death by his parents Lawrence Brooks, Sr. and Jeanette Brooks. He is survived by his wife, Susan of 44 years; daughter Julie Rogers (Brett) and son Scott Brooks (Joy) of Lakeland; sister Cheri Denny (David) of Salem, OH; grandchildren Logan, Hunter, McKenna, Avery and Grayson; and many other relatives and friends. Services will be held Wednesday, December 16, 2015. Visitation will be held from 5:00-6:00 pm with service to follow at 6:00 at First United Methodist Church, 72 Lake Morton Dr., Lakeland, Florida 33801. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to First United Methodist Church.
