Julie Teresa Jones

Julie Teresa Jones, 65, of Lakeland, FL passed away on August 13, 2023. Julie was born on July 26th, 1958, to Everitt and Sylvia Jones in Lakeland. She graduated from Kathleen High School in 1976. After graduation, Julie worked for several phosphate mining companies, eventually being promoted to Analytical Lab Technician at Mosaic Fertilizer Company.

Julie enjoyed following women’s sports, especially soccer. She loved animals, especially dogs, cats, and horses. She also loved to travel; many of her most cherished memories were of road trips with her family. Above all she was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, and friend.

Julie was predeceased by her parents and her brother Joseph Jones.

She is survived by her sister Janice Summerlin, brother John Jones, stepsister Gayle Hansen (Jeff), stepbrother Gary Kruger (Rebecca), nieces Sylvia Summerlin, Beth Ann Hansen, and Kelly Hansen, nephews Seth (Jamie) Jones, Noah Jones, Griffin Summerlin and Ethan Kruger, great-nephew Eli, great-niece Lily, and a host of extended family and friends.

She is greatly missed.

A celebration of her life will take place at a later date.
