Julian Lawrence “Larry” Tyre, 84 Lakeland - Julian Lawrence “Larry” Tyre, 84, of Babson Park passed away peacefully on July 18, 2018, after a long battle with Dementia. Larry was born September 8, 1933, on Breezy Point on Crooked Lake in Babson Park. After attending Frostproof High School, he was drafted by the U.S. Army and served in Korea during the Korean War. When he returned home, he married Hattie Sue Moch and began working at Scotty's, where he managed the Sebring store for 30 years until he retired. He was preceded in death by his wife, Hattie Sue Moch; his parents, Julian and Virdie Taylor Tyre; and his sisters, Glenn Felton Gibson and Lavinia Miller. Larry is survived by his daughter, Kimberley Tyre of Mulberry, his son, Phillip (Shawn) Tyre of Auburndale, and grandchildren, Casey and Taylor Tyre. A private family service will take place at Oak Hill Burial Park to lay him at rest. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Good Shepherd Hospice, www.floridahospices.org
