Julian Doyle Rowe

Julian Doyle Rowe, 100 Lakeland " Julian Doyle Rowe died Monday, October 19, 2015, at Lakeland Regional Health. He was born September 12, 1915, in Groveland, FL. He was a staff Sergeant in the U.S. Armed Forces and a WWII Veteran. He worked as a rural carrier for the U.S. Postal Service for 50 years (1935-1985). He worked as an athletic trainer for Groveland High School from 1935-1970. Julian was deeply involved with his community. He was a member of Elks, Rotary, and Kiwanis. He was a historian for the Groveland Historical Society. He enjoyed golf, traveling and his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents A. P. Rowe and Alice (Peterson) Rowe, loving wife of 51 years Ruby (Cherry) Rowe, his second wife Agnes (Johnson) Rowe, and his brother A.P. Rowe Jr. He is survived by his son, Charles M. Rowe and his wife Patricia (Bond) Rowe; grandchildren, Emiley and Charles II; and a great- grandson. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 24, 2015, at 10:00 am at Edge Memorial United Methodist Church, 441 S. Main Avenue, Groveland, FL 34736.
