Judith Flanagan, a longtime resident of the Lakeland area, died Thursday the 31st of March at Melech Hospice House, Tampa. Born May 14th 1945 in Jacksonville Florida, Judy took great pride in working as an Administrative Assistant at the Florida United Methodist Conference in Lakeland, FL. She was particularly proud of the mission work she was involved in, and was an active member of the Wesley Methodist Church for 25 years. She is survived by a loving family; son, John (Jackie) Flanagan, grandchildren Joshua Flanagan and Kelsey Flanagan, brother Harold (Janet) Wood, Sr., as well as the staff at Hardee Manor Care Center, Wauchula, FL; who have always treated her as family. We will forever remember her smile, warmth, energy and love of life, family and god. Judy's wonderful sprit and joy will be celebrated at Heath Funeral Chapel, 328 S. Ingraham Ave. Lakeland, Florida, on Friday April 8th. Visitation from 3-5 pm, services to follow at 5 pm, Larry Rankin, Judith's long time boss and friend will give the eulogy. The family would also like to thank the staff at Florida Hospital Tampa, as well as Melech Hospice House for the tremendous amount of care, comfort and kindness given to Judy.
