Judith Lynn Bunch, nee Stuckey, of Lakeland, Florida, died peacefully on December 5, 2024, at Lakeland Regional Health. Born in Logan, West Virginia, she moved from Huntington, West Virginia to Lakeland, Florida in 1966 with her husband, John. She built a beautiful life for her family and forged lasting friendships that spanned decades.
Judy was described by many as a true southern lady. She believed beauty to be an extension of one’s values and good manners to be a way of making all feel welcome. She valued hard work and continuing education, which she modeled by going back to school to earn her BA with honors from University of South Florida while managing a busy household with two young daughters. She considered genuine friendship, travel, good food and drink, and exquisite style to be the keys to a happy life, and she worked tirelessly to ensure her family and friends lived their lives to the fullest.
Judy is preceded in death by her parents and siblings. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, John; her daughters, Ashley Fore and Meredith (Tom) Prokuski; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Always the gracious and thoughtful hostess, we know she has gone ahead to prepare a glorious welcome for the family and friends she leaves behind.
