Juan Bruno De Zayas

LAKELAND, Juan Bruno De Zayas, Age 83, peacefully went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 10, 2021. He is survived by his beloved wife Vilna Silva De Zayas, of over 55 years. He was a loving father to Bruno F. De Zayas (Nicole) and Alan De Zayas. Proud grandfather, to Clement De Zeyas, Cecelia De Zayas, Bruno F. De Zayas II, and Blythe De Zayas. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jose Bruno De Zayas, and Mercedes Carmelina De Zayas, along with his brother Ricardo De Zayas and sister Lourdes Zayas Fernandez. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and cousins. He was a native of Holguin, Cuba. He graduated from LSU with a degree in mechanical engineering in 1962. He enjoyed tremendous success working for IMC as a senior project engineer for over 40 years. He was an avid traveler. He enjoyed sports, especially his weekly golf outings with close friends. He was a parishioner of Resurrection Catholic Church. His priorities were always to put his family and God first. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend his Celebration of Life Mass on Friday, March 19, 2021 beginning at 1:00 p.m. at Resurrection Catholic Church in Lakeland, Florida.
