John Wesley Reid, Sr

John “Johnny” Wesley Reid, Sr., 94, Lakeland, FL, passed away the morning of Monday, December 4th, 2023, at his home.

He was born in Frostproof, FL on May 22, 1929, son of the late Jessie Blanton and Lolly Pearl Reid.

He served in the U.S. Air Force.

Member of Restoration Fellowship Church and had been a faithful follower of Jesus Christ for much of his life.

He is survived by his spouse, Lois Reid. Their 71st anniversary was Friday, December 1st, 2023.

Also survived by daughter, Ann Reid; son, Wes (Vickie) Reid; grandchildren, Charlie (Sarah) Reid, Chelsea (Mathew) Cummings, Shelby (Granger) Hieronymus, and Chad Reid; great-grandchildren, Wren and Finley Hieronymus; along with many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Thursday, December 7th, 2023, from10:00 am until time of service at 11:00 am at Heath Funeral Chapel.

Committal to follow at Homeland Cemetery in Bartow, FL.
