John F. Mumm

Mumm, John F. Retired Businessman John F. Mumm of Lakeland, FL died at home on Wednesday, February 5, surrounded by his wife and six children from kidney failure. He was born on February 23, 1950 in Hopewell, VA. He and his wife, Nancy, were married in Cedar Rapids, IA on August 4, 1973. They moved to Lakeland, FL in 1983. John was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing and hunting and shared these passions with his wife and children. He was devoted to his family. John is loved beyond measure by his wife, Nancy, and six children; Janel (Joseph) McGovern, Cedar Rapids, IA; Jacquelyn (Philip) Myers, Lakeland, FL; John Mumm, Brandon, FL; Julie (Mark) Baumgartner, Baltimore, MD; Jill Mumm, Lithia, FL; and Jacob Mumm, Lakeland, FL, as well 12 grandchildren and two granddogs. He is also survived by his mother, Margaret Mumm of Lakeland, FL and his brother James (Veronica) Mumm of Cedar Rapids, IA. He is preceded in death by his father, Fredrick Mumm. Visitation will be held at Heath Funeral Chapel on Friday, February 7 from 5-7 pm. Burial will be in Durant, IA. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Lakeland Volunteers in Medicine.
