John F. Ciempa, 68 Lakeland - John F. Ciempa entered into eternal rest on November 3, 2015. John was born in Manchester, NH on June 5, 1947, to loving parents Walter and Mary Ciempa. John owned and operated Amoskeag Boiler & Electric Company in Manchester, NH for many years. He also worked at the SAU 15 in Auburn, NH as a Facilities Supervisor and for Burpee Electric in Concord, NH. In 2004, he relocated to Lakeland, FL where he worked in the HVAC/Facilities Department at Florida Southern College until his retirement in 2012. He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Debra; his children Katy Ciempa and John J. Ciempa and his wife, Mallory; his sister, Nancy Roy and her husband, Henry; and his beloved yellow lab, Bella, who was forever by his side. Another very special person to John was Christopher Howard of New York City, who gave him the gift of life in 2012 by becoming his bone marrow donor. A memorial gathering will take place at Heath Funeral Chapel from 6 to 8 pm on Tuesday, November 10. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to The Bone Marrow Foundation; The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society or the American Kidney Foundation.
