Joanne R. Walker

Joanne R. Walker, 82 Lakeland " Joanne Walker, 82, passed away on July 24, 2014 after a brief struggle with cancer. She was born on October 23, 1931, in Bloomington, IN, the daughter of Frank and Marie Randall. Joanne""s family relocated to Florida when she was 2 and she spent the majority of her life living in Lakeland. After graduating from Lakeland High School, class of 1949, Joanne married Roy Lyndon Walker. In addition to raising two wonderful children, she also worked many years at the Sunbeam Bakery in Lakeland. Joanne was a loving wife, mother, sister and friend, and will be missed dearly. Joanne was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Marie Randall, and brother, Bob Randall. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Roy Lyndon Walker; children, Bruce Walker (Barbara) and Lisa Blue (Alain); grandchildren, Kyle Walker, Casey Blue and Conner Blue; sisters Martha Randall, Nancy Singletary, Betty Albert, and brother Donald Randall. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at 2:00 pm at Heath Funeral Chapel with a reception to follow in the Tribute Center.
