Joan Katherine Anderson

On April 27, 2023, Joan A. Anderson of Lakeland, FI, loving wife of James D Anderson (Jim),

passed away at the age of 95. Joan was born on April 5, 1928, in Muskegon, Michigan, to Raymond and Kathreen Ammerman.

She graduated from Lakeland High School,

Joan is preceded in death by her husband, Jim Anderson, whom she married September 2, 1946, her two sons, Dr. James D. Anderson (Kathy) of Atlanta, GA, and David P. Anderson (Mary Lib) of Lakeland, FL.

She is survived by her daughter, Linda Anderson, Beacon, N.Y. son, Tom Anderson (Lisa) Fernandina Beach, FL, five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Joan was a homemaker and mother. She also worked at Marshall Jewelers. Joan was very active at First Presbyterian Church where she taught Sunday School, served as Circle Chairman, Vice President of Women of the Church, Worship Council, and Hospitality Chairman.

Joan was a charter member of PEO chapter CP and held several offices including.

President. She was a member of Tuesday Music Club and her bridge club. She was also a Cub Scout Den Mother, her hobbies include bridge, cooking, and needle point.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 24th at 2:00 pm at First Presbyterian Church.
