Jeannine Almburg Weeks

September 16, 1932 — April 11, 2018

Jeannine Almburg Weeks Lakeland-Jeannine Almburg Weeks was instantaneously ushered into the presence of Jesus, her Lord and Savior, on April 11, 2018 whilst being accompanied by an angelic escort. She was impatiently beckoned over by the love of her life, Ralph Walker Weeks, who left us on June 28th, 2016. Jeannine was born on September 16, 1932, in Dundee, Fl, to Gustav and Genevieve Almburg. She graduated from Haines City High School in 1950 where she was a cheerleader and star basketball player. She married Ralph in 1951 on Coronado Island, California. They remained happily married for 65 years. After Ralph served in the Navy, they returned to Polk County. Together they built a beautiful and accomplished life founding Quality Petroleum Corporation in Lakeland. Mrs. Weeks was a member of First Baptist Church of Haines City where she led the children’s choir for many years. She was also a member of First Baptist Church at the Mall, Lakeland Yacht Club and the Heirloom Antique Club. She loved her music, her antiques, traveling with her husband, the beach, her home in Sky Valley, and cooking and entertaining. She generously shared her love and talents with her many friends. Above all else, she and Ralph treasured their family. They had two children; Vicki Weeks May (Ron) and Ralph Stephen Weeks (Debbie). They adored their six grandchildren, Heather Weeks Rhoden (Jason), Shane Weeks (Ivory), Ashley May, Brittany Weeks Griego (Chris), Greyson May (Melissa) and Taylor May McDermott (Patrick). In addition, they were blessed with six great grandchildren, Walker Weeks, Riley, Gage and Ridge Rhoden, Kaleb May and Bowen Griego. We will all deeply miss her beauty, creativity, her kindness and her spunk. Without a doubt, we will miss her love the most...she loved us so well. She was predeceased by her husband, her parents, her two brothers, Donald and Harry Almburg and her beloved sister, Mary Almburg Crittenden. A celebration of her life will be held at Church at the Mall on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at 1 o’clock in the afternoon. The family wishes to thank her caregiver of four years, Phyllis Boucher, for her dedicated attention to our Mother. We also wish to thank Dr. C. Stuart Tullis and his staff along with the amazing nurses and doctors at Lakeland Regional Hospital. You were so kind. Flowers are gratefully accepted or you may make a donation in Jeannine’s memory to Church at the Mall or Cornerstone Hospice.
