Jeannette B. Anderson

Jeannette B. Anderson, 91 Jeannette Anderson, age 91, passed away January 31, 2016. She was born on January 17, 1925, to Robert and Cleo Brinson in Pearson, GA. She graduated Lakeland High School in 1941, and at the age of 16, was employed as a secretary to the three founding doctors of Watson Clinic. After earning a degree in Accounting from Florida Southern she eventually became head of the Accounting Department and later retired after 42, years. Jeannette met her future husband Richard in High School and they were married in 1944, in The Little Church around the Corner in New York City. She was a member of the Arcadia Woman""s Club, the first President of Polk County Chapter of The Institute of Management Accounts, The Stuart McLeod Society and volunteered for several charitable organizations. Jeannette enjoyed traveling, riding horses, cards, watching sports and family time at Anna Maria Island and Hendersonville, NC. She was a long time member of First Baptist Church at the Mall and cherished her friendships there. Jeannette is survived by Richard E. Anderson, her husband of 71 years, son Jeff Anderson of Lakeland, FL, his wife Carolyn and grandson Jordan. Sister in law Corinne Brinson, nieces Bonnie McMillian (Tommy), Betty Ann Suggs (Charles), nephews Dr. Randy Brinson (Pamela) and Jonathan Brinson (Jacquie) as well as Brother in Law James Anderson (Joan), their 3 children and many special great nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 4, 2016 from 5:30-7:00 pm in the Tribute Center at Heath Funeral Chapel, 328 South Ingraham Avenue, Lakeland, FL 33801. Funeral service will be held on Friday, February 5, 2016 at 11:00 am at First Baptist Church at the Mall, 1010 E. Memorial Blvd., Lakeland, FL 33801.
