Jean H. Williams, age 94, went to her heavenly home to be with Jesus on December 15, 2024. She was born on September 13, 1930, in Savanah, Georgia to parents Bill and Sarah Hobbs.
Jean was preceded in death by her mother and father, brother Frank Hobbs, sister Barbara Roberts, son Brinson Jordan and husband Tom Hester.
She is survived by her sister Claire Allen, brother Bill Hobbs, children Kimberly Tidwell, Gaydon Jordan, Russ Jordan, Jonathan Jordan, twelve grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.
As a teenager, a love of flying was instilled in her by her father who owned a small airport. With his instruction, she earned her private pilot license and later became a stewardess for TWA. Once she received her bachelor's degree from Florida State, she enjoyed a long teaching career in the Central Florida area. She was a member of Parkland Baptist Church in Winter Haven and was involved in many activities there, most especially visitation of members who were recuperating in nursing homes. Above all she was a loving mother and friend to all.
Many thanks to her caregivers at Highlands Lake Center and Compassionate Care Hospice.
