Janice Lorraine Stiles

Jan Stiles' Celebration of Life and her Heaven Healing will be observed at First United Methodist Church, Lakeland, FL, in the chapel, at 72 Lake Morton Dr. Service is at 10:00 am Thursday, December 29, 2022.

Jan peacefully and without pain, passed from our arms into the loving arms of Jesus, on Thursday, December 15, 2022, at Estates at Carpenter’s, The Manor, skilled nursing home.

Born in Elmira, NY; Jan was the daughter of Glenn and Mildred (Newman) Stiles.

She is survived by her sister, Linda (Patrick) Rankin of Wes Seneca, NY/Boca Raton, FL. While working at Corning Glass, she received her BA degree from Elmira College. Later, Jan received an MBA from the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee. Jan had a successful career, starting at IBM, and later as a Systems Analyst and IT consultant for public utilities.

Jan moved to Lakeland, FL in 2006. During her retirement years, Jan was an active volunteer at Lakeland Regional Health, Salvation Army, and Talbot House. Jan was a faithful and caring member of First United Methodist Church of Lakeland and will be remembered and missed by many dear friends there, as well, as the Bloomsfield Hills friends and neighbors.

In lieu of flowers, it is preferred memorial gifts go to “Tuesday Tigers” Ministry of First United Methodist Church of Lakeland, Compassionate Care Hospice, and/or Talbot House Ministries of Lakeland in Jan’s memory.
