Janice Gail Anglin

Jan "Janice Gail" Blanton Anglin, 69 of Lakeland, went to spend eternity with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, August 2, 2014. Cause of death was dementia. She was born in Thomasville, GA on May 19, 1945 to J. Lamar and Frances Woodward Blanton and moved to Lakeland in 1950. She was a founding member of Crossroads Baptist Church. Jan graduated from Lakeland Senior High School in 1963, attended the School of Nursing at Johns Hopkins University, returned to Lakeland and married Frank D. Anglin in October 1965. Jan was an avid reader, enjoyed working crossword puzzles, traveling the United States and abroad, and spending time with famiy at the Blanton Family Reunion in Cairo, GA and the Anglin family at 3rd Sunday in May in Roanoke, AL. She is preceded in death by her parents, daugther Sandra Anglin Satterwhite, and brother F. Lamar Blanton. She is survived by her husband of 49 years Frank Anglin, son Craig Anglin and wife Amy of Orlando, two grandsons Oliver and Sawyer Anglin, son-in-law David Satterwhite of Roanoke, AL, brother Roger Blanton and wife Marcia of Lakeland, brother Kemp Blanton of Tampa, and brother Carey Blanton and wife Julie of Lakeland. A visitation will be held Monday, August 4 from 5-7 pm in The Tribute Center at Heath Funeral Chapel in Lakeland. Funeral services will follow on Tuesday, August 5 at 10:00 am at Crossroads Baptist Church in Lakeland with graveside services immediately following at Oak Hill Cemetery.
