James T. Brunson

James “Jim” T. Brunson, 64, of Lakeland, passed away January 17, 2021. Born March 1, 1956, in Tampa, he was the son of the late Lenton and Margaret Thornton Brunson. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Lynn Bassett. Jim was retired from Publix as a buyer. He enjoyed golfing and fishing, was an avid Florida Gators fan, as well as a member of Lone Palm Golf Club. He is survived by his nephew, Dean Bassett, of Idaho. A visitation will be held from 5-7pm, Friday, January 29, 2021, at Heath Funeral Chapel Tribute Center. Occupancy is limited to 50 people and masks are required. A graveside service will be held at 1 pm, Saturday, January 30, 2021, at Lakeland Memorial Gardens. For those unable to attend the service will be webcasted. Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to Florida Baptist Children’s Homes, One More Child | Christian Focused Charity Organization, St. Jude Children’s Hospital, Make a donation to end childhood cancer - St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, or to Shriners Hospitals for Children, Children’s Hospital | Shriners Hospitals for Children.
