James Stanley Sargeant

James Stanley Sargeant, 91 James Stanley Sargeant, born in Birmingham, Alabama, February 8, 1921, passed away peacefully on January 11, 2013 at 91 years old. He is survived by his son Jamie and daughters, Janet and Sherry; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Shirley and his three brothers, John, Ralph and Joe. He was the youngest of four sons of Joseph C. Sargeant and Mattie P. Sargeant, in the dairy farming business in Lakeland starting in the 1920""s. Stanley was a citrus grower and processor for many years in Lakeland and throughout Florida, as well as a member of the Florida Citrus Commission and president of his class at Lakeland High School for successive years. A private family service was held at Lakeland Memorial Gardens on Wednesday, January 23. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
