James Reginald Humphries

James “Jim” Reginald Humphries Lakeland - James “Jim” Reginald Humphries entered Heaven on Tuesday, December 4th, 2018, at age 89 where he was reunited with his bride of 50 years, Phoebe Lee Faulkner, parents, Edward Humphries and Lessie Boyd Humphries as well as his sister, Frances Brewer. Jim is survived by 2 sons, James Gregory Humphries (Debra), and Thomas Jeffrey Humphries (Beverly) and Granddaughters, Elizabeth Keller (Curtis), Megan Humphries and Jessica Brown, and Grandson, Trevor Crawford. Born in Hiltonia, Ga, he graduated from Savannah High School, Received his AA from Savannah State and his BS in Chemistry from Georgia Tech in 1952. After serving as a Captain in the US Army & the Army Reserves, he was a Chemist for Agrico until his retirement. Jim was member of United Methodist Temple, the American Chemical Society, the VFW and a Freemason. The family would like to extend a special thanks to FPH caregiver, Avis Powell and to Haigen Foley for his many visits! Graveside services will be held on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at 11 am at Oak Hill Burial Park, 4620 US Highway 98 South, Lakeland, Florida 33812.
