James Phillips, 55 Lakeland " James Phillips, 55, was born in Lakeland on February 15, 1958 and passed away on February 2, 2014 due to cancer. James served in the United States Army. James is preceded in death by his father, William Lee Phillips. He is survived by his mother, Julia Phillips, brother, Bill Phillips (Sue), sister, Melinda Lapina (Dave), niece, Jada Phillips, and nephews, Cody Phillips and Joshua and Austin Lapina. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 5, 2014 from 5-7pm at Heath Funeral Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lakeland Hospice House, Good Shepherd Hospice, 3450 Lakeland Hills Blvd., Lakeland, FL 33805.
