James Oscar Lamanen

James Oscar Lamanen Lakeland – James Oscar Lamanen 85, passed February 25, 2018. Born May 30, 1932 in Detroit, Michigan to Marion and Oscar Laamanen. Jim was a veteran of the Korean War. He retired to Lakeland, Florida after 37 years as an educator in Michigan. He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Betty Jean Lamanen. He is survived by his daughter, Ruth (Rick) Bingen; son, Steve (Diane) Lamanen; sister, Irene Lamanen; grandchildren, Jason Bingen, Evan (Amber) Bingen, Kyle Lamanen, Clint Lamanen, and Holly Lamanen. A private service will be held for the immediate family. The family requests donations in his name be made to Good Shepherd Hospice at www.chaptershealth.org.
