Jackie was born on September 13, 1941 to John and Helen Holt in Akron, Ohio. Jackie was the first born daughter to John and Helen. Although her Mom named her Ethel, her father called her Jackie from the day she was born, hence Jackie became the name in which she forged her legacy. Jackie grew up in the Cuyahoga Falls area of Akron, Ohio, where she attended elementary school, junior high and graduated from Cuyahoga Falls High School in 1959. At Cuyahoga Falls High School, Jackie participated in many groups such as Glee Club and dance. In the late summer of 1959, Jackie met Peter More, the man who would become the love of her life and that she would marry. The two married February 27, 1960 and began their life journey together. Jackie and Pete went on to bring seven children into this world. In true Jackie spirit, her first pregnancy was identical twin girls! Jackie was first and foremost a loving and dedicated wife and mother. Jackie was involved in many groups and organizations throughout her lifetime such as Cuyahoga Falls Mother of Twins, President of United Methodist Temple""s Women, numerous school activities and athletic endeavors for each of her children. Jackie was extremely talented in many aspects of her life. She enjoyed painting, crafts, interior design, candy making, and making holidays special with her own extraordinary touch. Her love of music drove her to become a member of the church choir and participate in many Cantatas. Jackie created traditions within her family that will be treasured and carried on for many generations to come. These are the things that will be missed dearly.
