Iris Livingston Larsen

Iris Livingston Larsen, 98, Larsen Jewelers Lakeland " Iris Larsen passed away peacefully on April 18, 2012 in Lakeland due to natural causes. Born December 29, 1913 in Brewster, FL to Wiley and Martha Livingston, she was one of seven children. Iris attended school in Orlando and operated a beauty salon. She was of the Lutheran faith. In 1941, Iris married John Larsen. They moved to his hometown of Lakeland in 1946 and John took over his father""s jewelry business. The Larsen""s were owners of the family store from 1920-1993, in operation over 3 generations. Iris became a mother, raised her family and helped with the business. She enjoyed gardening and sewing. She is preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, John I. Larsen. Survivors include her children, John R. Larsen of Palm City, FL, Linda Larsen of Lakeland, FL and one grandson, John R. Larsen, Jr. of Palm City, FL. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, April 21, 2012 at 11 am at Lakeland Memorial Gardens.
