Irene Leslie Smith, 81 Irene Leslie Smith went to be with our Lord and Savior on January 22, 2013 due to cardiac/respiratory complications. She was 81. She was born in Bryn Athyn, PA on January 13, 1932 to Ronald and Neva Webster. As a long time member of First United Methodist Church, \\\"Miss Irene\\\" served as the Mother\\\'s Day Out Program Director for many years. She will be remembered for her inspirational faith,endless compassion and unconditional love for not only her family but for all children. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Arthur of Lakeland; her daughters, Ronda Mayes of Lakeland, Denise Ott (Rick) of Claremore, Oklahoma, Marilee Galindo (David) of Apopka and her son, Gary Smith (Shannon) of Bartow. She is predeceased by her son, Ronald. Irene also has 8 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, January 26, 2013 at the First United Methodist Church in Lakeland.
