Ione Coston Hoffmann

Ione Hoffmann, 86, passed away on January 11, 2023, in Lakeland Florida.

Ione was born in Onslow County, North Carolina to Elisha Donald and Lona Padget Coston on March 13, 1936. She attended Dixon High School. She met her husband, Richard M Hoffmann at Camp Lejeune. She retired from Albertsons as a Deli clerk. She had a “green thumb” and loved working in her yard with her flowers. She also loved spending time with her family.

Ione is preceded in death by her husband Richard M Hoffmann, her daughter Grace Ann Hoffmann, and her son Richard M Hoffmann Jr, along with her brothers Tedford Coston, and Rayford Coston.

Ione is survived by her daughter Mary Card (David), her grandchildren Kenny Card (Anne), Amber Arfuso (Anna), her great-grandchildren Alyssa Arfuso, Nathan Card, her sisters Velva Davis, Brenda Pierce, along with her good Friend and Caregiver, Debra Fussell. She also leaves behind her Sun conure Josie.

A visitation will be held at Heath Funeral Chapel from 5-7pm on Wednesday, January 18, 2023. A burial will occur at a later date in North Carolina.
