Hazel R. Caruthers

Lakeland " Hazel Caruthers passed away October 17, 2015. She was born in Charlotte, Michigan. Hazel graduated from a teaching college in Kalamazoo, Michigan. After graduating she became a teacher of a one room school house in Michigan. During the summer she worked in a airplane factory during WWII, until she met and married Bill Caruthers. They moved to Florida after his discharge from the Army in WWII. Hazel is preceded in death by her mother, Mary; father, Leo Adams; sister, Ruth; brother, Byron; husband Bill; and grand " daughter, Deidre. She is survived by Sons, David (Marcy); Mike; Steve (Jacki), Daughters, Caye (Tim); Robin (James). Brother, David Adams (Dawn), 11 grandchildren, and 6 great grand-children. A viewing will be held on Friday October 23,2015 from 9:00 " 10:00 am at Heath Funeral Chapel. A service will follow at 10:00 am.
