Harvey Lee Barton

Harvey Lee Barton of Lakeland, Florida passed away on Thursday, October 11, 2018. He was born on January 6, 1929, in Ocala, Florida, to Rufus Alcus and Nancy Emma Barton. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War and then the Army Reserve. He worked in sales in Moultrie, Georgia, and moved to Lakeland, Florida in 1973. While in Lakeland, he worked at selling building materials, and retired from Cement Products of Lakeland. He was married to his wife Emma Kat for 63 years before her passing in 2013. He enjoyed golfing and fishing. Mr. Barton was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife. He is survived by his sons; Kent Barton, and Kelly (his wife, Terri Lee) Barton; his grandchildren, Emory, Thomas, Justin, Shannon, Ryan Barton and Sarah Opstad; sister, Ruth Tanner A visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 17, 2018, from 5:00pm – 6:00pm, in the Tribute Center at Heath Funeral Chapel, followed by a Memorial Service at 6:00pm.
