Gladys Reynolds Ledoux, 95 Homemaker Lakeland- Gladys Helen Reynolds Stiteler Ledoux, 95, passed away peacefully July 2, 2011 at LRMC of natural causes. Gladys was born May 19, 1916 in Media Pennsylvania1and relocated to Dade City in 1946. She moved to Lakeland in 1964 and was a member of College Heights United Methodist Church where she served as a communion steward. She also worked at the voters polls in both Pasco and Polk counties. She was president of the Colonial Homes Garden Club in Lakeland. She organized the first bridge tournament for the Lakeland Welcome Wagon and also started a bridge tournament group at the Westminster Presbyterian Church, Lakeland. Gladys volunteered many hours for the Lakeland Regional Medical Center Ladies Auxiliary. Previously, Gladys was part owner/manager of the Hilltop Drive-in, Dade City, for 17 years. She was also actively involved as Circle Chairman and hostess at the Dade City First United Methodist Church. Since 1940 she was a charter member of the Women""s Division of Christian Services. While in Dade City, Gladys received an award for 10 years of leadership with the Home Demonstration Club of Pasco County. She was predeceased by her husband of 22 years, Martin Ledoux, son Robert R. Stiteler, parents James R. and Helen Reynolds and sister Ruth Clapp. She is survived by daughter Carol Mariany, Winter Springs; daughter-in-law Anita Stiteler, Lakeland; grandchildren Rebecca Stiteler, Lakeland and Teresa Mariany and Anthony Mariany, Orlando, Michael (Nan) Ledoux, Jeff Ledoux and Joe Kruk, Lakeland and niece Deanne Sawyer, Ft. Myers. We are grateful for the years we shared here on earth and she will be remembered for her many kind deeds and dedicated service. A memorial service will be held Thursday July 7 at 2:00 PM at Lake Morton Plaza Community Room. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lake Morton Plaza Employee Christmas Fund, 400 S. Florida Ave., Lakeland, FL 33801.
