George Oliver Pyle, Sr.

George Oliver Pyle, Sr. age 81, died on December 5, 2022. George was born in Kingsport, Tennessee. George was in building and construction sales, traveling the southeast until his retirement. George was a proud veteran, serving in the U.S. Army Armored 7th Cavalry 3rd Division. He was a “gadget master,” always fixing things and had a tool for everything or would create his own tool. George also loved spending time outdoors including fishing and gardening.

George was preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie Pyle; parents, Fred Pyle and Alberta Shelton; sister, Janice McCallister.

George is survived by his children, George Pyle, Jr. “Rocky” (Charlotte), Dee Miller, Rodney Pyle (Jan); brother, Charles Pyle (Beverly); 7 Grandchildren and 11 Great Grandchildren.

George is survived by many loving nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

The family wishes to thank Good Shepherd Hospice “Magnolia and Rose Team,” for years of support and comfort. No words can express our gratitude in the care of our father.

A memorial will be held on Saturday, January 21, 2023 at 10:00am with a reception to follow at Heath Funeral Chapel.
