George Edward Manners

George Edward Manners, 91 Lakeland- Mr. George Edward Manners died at Lakeland Nursing & Rehabilitation on September 5, 2016. He was born October 2, 1924, in Saltsburg, PA. George was a longtime member of The Church of God (Anderson, IN), most recently Spirit Lake Community Church, Winter Haven, FL. He served in the United States Army in the Pacific Theater during World War II. He worked as an electrician for over 30 years. George was predeceased by his wife of nearly 61 years, Lois George Manners, two brothers, William and Ralph, and two sisters, Dorothy and Virginia. Survivors include four children, Malcolm M. Manners, Lakeland; Rosemary Manners, Pompano Beach; Lisa P. Manners, Boca Raton; Crystal (Christopher) Long, Boca Raton; two grandchildren; two sisters, Hazel Mae and Annie, and two brothers, Robert and Richard. Memorials may be made to Spirit Lake Community Church, 2600 Spirit Lake Road, Winter Haven, FL 33880. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
