Freddy Gene Ellis

LAKELAND - Fred Ellis was born in Concordia, Kansas on July1, 1948 and passed away at his home in Lakeland on January 30, 2019. He was 70 years old. He was preceded in death by is wife Annie and his son Fred Jr. He is survived by his daughter Julie, her husband Todd and 2 granddaughters, Rebecca and Hannah. He was a lifelong drummer and traveled the world playing music. He served 2 years in the Army before settling down to start a family. He also was a avid golfer, playing at least 2 days a week. He was a 30 year agent with Farm Bureau Insurance. When he retired, he worked 2 days a week at Manheim Auto Acton. There will be a visitation at Heath Funeral Chapel, 328 S. Ingraham Ave., on Monday, February 4, 2019 from 12:00 pm -2:00 pm, with a short graveside service to follow at Oak Hill Burial Park.
