Foy Lynn Springer

Foy Lynn Springer, 78, went to be with the Lord on May 17, 2016. She was born in Lakeland, Florida on October 26, 1937, to the late Leon and Faye Faison. Foy Lynn enjoyed many hobbies; sewing, quilting, gardening, fishing, cooking, and traveling. She was very proud of the work she did for children in Honduras, sewing pillow case dresses with other local volunteers. She also hand crafted clothing for local school children in need. Mrs. Springer was a member of New Life Assembly of God and was especially proud to be a part of the Woman""s Ministries at Northside Assembly of God. Foy Lynn retired as a secretary from Publix Super Markets, Inc. Foy Lynn is survived by her husband of 61 years, Jay Springer; three daughters and their husbands, Jayne and Tom Couch, Sharon and Floyd Freeman, and Sandy and Jon Ryan; four grandchildren, Melissa and Mike Dammer, Amy and Fred Houck, Doug Freeman, and Mackenzie Freeman; and two great-grandchildren, Austin and Paytn Houck. She is preceded in death by her twin sister, Joy Pooser. Foy Lynn will be remembered for her dedication to those in need, and for her love of being a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Visiting hours will be Friday May 20, from 10-11 am at New Life Assembly of God, 8250 US Highway 98 North, Lakeland, Florida 33809. Service will start at 11 am, with burial to follow at Oak Hill Burial Park.
