Emma Faye Barnes

Emma Faye Barnes, 95, went peacefully to be with the Lord on Monday, October 14, 2024, at her residence in Lakeland, Florida.

Emma Faye, who many knew as ‘FAYE’ was a life-long resident of Florida. She was born in Lecanto, Florida in July of 1929 to J.Y. Barnes and Emma Lois Baker Barnes. Faye received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Blue Mountain College, Mississippi. She taught school for ten years before obtaining a position of Assistant Vice President at Peoples Bank of Lakeland (eventually becoming Huntington Bank) for 35 years until her retirement. She was a member of Lakeside Baptist Church.

Faye led a compassionate life, always reflecting on music, art, reading and especially her faith.

Services for Faye will be Wednesday, October 30, 2024, at 11 am.
