Eleanor Potter

LAKELAND " Eleanor J. Potter, 85, died Friday, July 15, 2011 at home from heart failure. She was born March 30, 1926 in Kendallville, Indiana and graduated from Kendallville High School in 1944. She lived in Ft. Wayne, Indiana from 1944-1956, where she was a secretary for the General Electric Company. She belonged to Tri Kappa Sorority and enjoyed doing crafts. She and her husband Joe moved to Lakeland, FL in 1984, where they were faithful members of the First United Methodist Church on Lake Morton. Eleanor is survived by her husband of 64 years, Aubrey Joe Potter; son Terry Alan Potter, of Lebanon, GA; grandchildren Tigue A. Potter, Terin Mamie Potter and Tishala Martinel of Myrtle Beach, SC.; and three great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at First United Methodist Church, 72 Lake Morton Drive, Lakeland, on Thursday, July 21, at 11:30am.
