Edna Mae Houghton

Lakeland – Edna M. Houghton passed away March 19, 2018. She was born October 1920 to Hugh and Ethel Houghton in Mulberry, FL. Edna lived in Lakeland since 1946, after graduating from Stetson University in Deland. She taught business education at Mulberry High School. Several years later, she was employed as an executive secretary at Internatonal Mineral and Chemical Corporation for 41 years. Edna was a member of United Methodist Temple and resided at The Estates at Carpenters in Lakeland, FL. She is survived by her nephew, James R. Houghton (Gail); her niece, Mrs. Leonard Houghton and her children, Melissa, Selina, Jessica and Lenny Houghton. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at 9:00 am at Heath Funeral Chapel, 328 S. Ingraham Ave., Lakeland, FL. 33801 with services following at 11:00 am at Oak Hill Burial Park, 4620 US Highway 98 S., Lakeland, FL 33812
