Edgar O. Laroche

Lakeland - Mr. Edgar O. LaRoche, Jr. died on December 15, 2016, at his residence in Lakeland, Florida. He was 81. Born in Woonsocket, R.I. to the late Edgar O. and Rose R. (Connell) LaRoche, he was also the step-son of the late Yvonne (Ethier) LaRoche, he was the brother of the late Col. Robert P. LaRoche, USAF and the former husband of the late Muriel (Ravenelle) LaRoche. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Air Force, stationed overseas during the Korean War. He received both his undergraduate and graduate degrees from Providence College, and practiced as a psychiatric social worker in R.I. and Florida. He is survived by his daughter, Deborah R. Francis and her husband Christopher, his grandson Keith C. Francis, his granddaughter Caroline J. Ruggiero and her husband Matthew, and his great-granddaughter Nicola E. Ruggiero, all of Barrington, R.I. A private burial with military honors, at the RI Veterans Cemetery, will be forthcoming.
